London's old houses are tough to keep dry. Victorian and Georgian basements, vaults under the pavement and solid walls all behave unlike modern builds. Therefore each one needs its own system. We find the cause, plan to the British Standard (BS 8102) and fit systems that last.

BS 8102 sets out three types of protection. Type A is a barrier, such as tanking. Type B is part of the structure itself. Type C is cavity drainage, which carries water away. As a result, we often mix types where reliability demands it.
